This Privacy Policy explains what information the Weather Live Wallpapers Android app (the “App”) collects, how it is used and shared, and what choices you have. The App is developed and operated by Dmitriy Dogaev, an independent developer (“we”, “us”).
If you grant location permission, the App uses your device location to show the weather, sunrise and sunset, and the time of day in the wallpaper, widgets and notifications. Because the live wallpaper and widgets update while the App is not open, the App may ask for location access in the background. You can decline and select a city manually instead.
Signing in is optional and is used to keep purchases across devices. You can sign in with a one-time code sent to your email or with Google. We store your email address and an internal account identifier. Our authentication provider may also store the name and profile photo provided by Google and technical sign-in data (IP address, user agent).
To link purchases to your account, a SHA-256 hash of your email address is passed to Google Play, and your email address to RuStore.
If you are signed in, we store the purchase details needed to verify and restore purchases and subscriptions: store, product, order ID, purchase token, subscription status and the verification response from Google Play or RuStore, together with a device description (brand, model and the device identifier described in 1.4). Payments are processed by Google Play or RuStore; we do not receive your card or bank details.
The App creates a device identifier derived from device identifiers and attributes (such as Android ID, model and manufacturer). It is used as the user ID in analytics and crash reports, for purchase fraud prevention and in support requests. It is also included, together with the app version and device model, in the technical header (user agent) of requests to our servers and to weather providers the App contacts directly.
Versions of the App that show ads use AppLovin MAX with Yandex Ads, VK Ads (myTarget) and Unity Ads. These companies may collect your advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and information about the ads you see and tap, to deliver, measure and personalize ads, under their own privacy policies.
Our servers log requests from the App: IP address, time, requested address (which may contain rounded coordinates) and user agent. We use these logs for security, abuse prevention and service statistics. Requests that look like unauthorized access to paid content may be recorded with the account identifier, country and user agent.
The App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging and subscribes to general topics based on language and platform. We do not store your notification token.
Support and feedback options open your email app with a prefilled message that may include your account email, app version, language, device model, OS version and device identifier. Nothing is sent until you send the email. We use your message to answer you and improve the App.
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract (providing the App and purchases), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, analytics, improving the App), your consent (location permission) and legal obligations.
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the App, and only for the purposes above:
We may also disclose information if required by law. These providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States, the European Union and Russia.
To delete your account, email dev.skysky@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We will delete your account and associated personal data. Records we must keep for accounting, tax or fraud prevention are kept without your email address. Purchases remain in your Google Play or RuStore account under the store’s policies.
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and signed download links to protect information.
We may update this Privacy Policy. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
